Today is hot and humid. Houston is hot and humid. Why anyone in their right mind would want to live in Houston is beyond me. I live here because I was born and raised in Texas. I went away to college and lived in Chicago from 1998-2004 and still keep wondering why I moved back here. It's really gross. I only bring this up because I decided to walk early today instead of later this evening. I started to sweat the moment Dominic, Hana and I stepped outside. It's almost as if you are swimming in a sea of humidity-that's how bad it is. We walked about a mile and Hana's tongue was nearly hanging down to the ground. Poor thing. She was so hot and I had to bring her home.
Dominic and I went to Starbucks to get a coffee after our walk and then we went to an estate sale. I managed to find 3 party dresses from the 50s and a brocade shell top:
And again
Red velvet party dress with satin rosettes
Peach chiffon crepe party dress
It's sort of weird because I stopped by this sale yesterday right as they were closing and these items were not there. I stopped again this morning and they told me they found them out in the garage. I obviously did not look in the garage yesterday or I would have bought them them.
I will be listing these in a few days.
White party dress with sheer full skirt and soutache trim
